I don't think Mum and Dad had a telly at that point either, though I could be wrong. And when they did get one, it only lasted up until 1975; they haven't had one since.

I did wonder whether to be circumspect in my phrasing about Doctor Who given a fair proportion of my friends pre-date it, but I have prolix tendencies as it is! Not to mention I'm coming along not too far behind...
