Remember that tomorrow's episode of Doctor Who is being broadcast half an hour earlier than usual, at 6.30.

They've probably moved it forward in order to terrorise more young children, because it got a Fear Forecast Factor of 5 ("scariest episode of Doctor Who yet") from the reviewing panel of children the BBC have introduced. The imagery of the series will be indelibly imprinted in their tiny brains, forcing them to purchase plastic memorabilia, cash-in books and memory cube recordings in later life in order to stem the compulsive nightmares. Mary Whitehouse would not have approved!

Less imaginative conspiracy theorists might just think it's something to do with scheduling to accommodate the Eurovision Song Contest.

Thanks for the notice!

You could have just come out and told me that when I asked you, 'Why Dr Who?' It's not like I would have judged. :-D

Glad we understand each other. :-P

And yeah I know the icon needs work. I am still working out how to design an icon featuring my friend's sarky comment - it ranks as the third best thing anyone has said about me. (And no, it's not that normally people say mean things to me, it's just that she hit the nail on the head so precisely.) Hmm, do you have any design ideas? <:-)

Hmm... Dr Who and the Eurovision Song Contest...

The TARDIS materialises somewhere in Europe at the beginning of the twentt-first century. The locals are terrified by the arrival in town of the Eurovision Song Contest, an annual event in which the countried of Eurpose compete in song for the right to bankrupt one of their own cities in the name of music. It is up to the Doctor to stop the contest and save the continent from this year's favourites - the French duo Cyberhomme and German crooner Davros Von Skaro...

Scary beans!

When you said the episode would be scary I really didn't think it would be - especially when I read who judged it as being scary. Anyway it the hit the mark perfectly. Great story, great suspense and great cliff-hanger. If the second half is as good as the first this will be my favorite story of the season.

I am still deciding if you chose the last line because it was such an odd/funny statement or because it was the last line and you wanted to see if I would read through the whole article (which I did)...

According to British folklore, does cheese and fright cause nightmares? Or was that kid just a bit strange?

You forgot to mention that the Doctors regeneration in question is a gentleman of a certain age, and certain waistsize, with an irish accent.

"Lots of planets have an Ireland."<\i>

"Is it me?"

Yes, it was good...

The gas-mask-head mutant zombies are completely off-the-wall, and I like the 'Sky Captain' is-he-or-isn't-he-a-baddie? character idea, too.
The scripts are great: I loved the line, "I don't know if this is Marxism in action or a West End musical!"
And Dad and I are both worried as to whether poor little Nancy is going to be zombified too...

Bestest Episode Yet!! :-D

Excellent. There was suspense, loads of humour and a happy ending, couldn't ask for a better episode. I smiled the whole way through. (Okay, not during the suspenseful parts... :-)
