I really like the sound of that. But then my appetite for starch is notorious. (Tonight's treat: gnocchi in white sauce.)

I have to admit I'm curious, but I first heard about the toast sandwich some time ago and haven't succumbed yet. I suspect it's the salt and pepper that would make or break it!

Well, bread and butter are a classic combination, so maybe adding a little more texture with the toast, and a touch of seasoning, may make a stunning sandwich.

Beth has decided to try one for breakfast.
