Needled about PINs

Either I'm as thick as mince or the bank have mailed me the wrong PIN for my Chip and PIN card.

Update: my well congealed concealed affinity with a denser variety of slop has evaded the serving counter of proof once more. The bank have corrected their error.

It's all a conspiracy: the banks get to hold on to your money longer and you can't get at it, so you have to buy your round at the pub using your credit card, also provided by....

Whoa. I really didn't think you were thick but I do think everyone is capable of making a silly mistake... Anyway my experience with banks is that they are usually right, however, I have noticed that American banks tend to be more technologically up-to-date, more available and more efficient than Scottish banks but whatever. :-P

So in short, I'm impressed by your vindication. :-) Go you...

Once upon a time (back in the 1980s) my bank was a bit of a ground-breaking leader in technology, but they rather dropped the ball when the Internet became popular. Within the last couple of years they've been taken over by, er, I mean merged with, another bank and have deteriorated further in a variety of ways as a result. I've given some thought to moving to another bank, but so far apathy has won out.
