See The Enemy Before They Attack!
Oct. 22nd, 2009 09:24 amI've just received junk (snail)mail from a high profile company trying to sell us EV SSL certificates for our web sites. I won't give them further publicity by naming them.
For some bizarre reason, the letter is headed "See the enemy before they attack. Be one of the first 200 people to respond and receive a FREE PAIR OF BINOCULARS!"
Certificates have nothing to do with "seeing enemies before they attack". In the context of web security, binoculars may possibly be even less useful.
I don't know what they're on, but they sound desperate.
