Doctor Who

It's thought likely that the first trailer for the new Doctor Who series will be on BBC1 tonight at 8 o'clock. The series itself is likely to air at 7 o'clock on Saturday nights, beginning on the 26th.

Edit: Actual times for trailers confirmed as follows:

• Mini Trailer 1 on BBC1 at 19:29, 20:00, 20:58, 21:58
  
• Mini Trailer 2 on BBC2 at 22:30. (6 seconds inside console room)
  
• Mini Trailer 3 on BBC2 at 23:52

Is it just me or did the 8:00 pm trailer not run? (Did the 7:29 pm trailer run?)

Well if the 8 o'clock trailer doesn't come on soon I guess I will have to remain in the dark. (I have night shift tonight starting at 21:00 which kind of prevents me from seeing any of the other trailers...)

I don't think the 7:29 one aired in Scotland; I expect it got bumped by the trailer for The Gathering Place, which is politically important (it's about the Scottish Parliament, and the tapes were withheld from the inquiry - long story).

The 8:00 one was there for about two seconds during which you saw Christopher Ecclestone (the Doctor), Billie Piper (Rose) and the new Tardis control room, with a snippet of the theme tune. Then it went straight into a trailer for Supervolcano, which certainly confused me.

Very much a teaser for those who're familiar with the show I would say - easily missed or confused with the Supervolcano trailer if you're not. Hopefull they'll get better.

Yep, I sat through a whole 5 minutes of east enders for 2 seconds.

More of a micro-trailer, or would a nano-trailer be a better description.

I don't know what you could be referring to! ;-)

Although for various reasons I haven't written about technical stuff as much as I originally intended, I figure that my blog is something I should be happy to mention on a CV (resumé), so it's worth flaunting any logos I qualify to use. And it filled in some time earlier this week!
