Doctor Who makes the Grade

Possibly the biggest story of all about the recently finished series of Doctor Who: Michael Grade is a convert!

The new icon, which seems kind of appropriate, is from a 1917 Punch cartoon captioned ST. GEORGE OUT-DRAGONS THE DRAGON. It's sub-titled With Mr. Punch's jubilant compliments to Sir Douglas Haig and his tanks. Cropped out of the icon, the tank is rolling over a shocked looking dragon in a pickelhaube.

Don't go and have a heart attack with all the wildly exciting Who news! I mean first the success of the new series, then confirms for a Christmas special and a second series and then a confirm for a THIRD series! Also you personally converted someone to the Who fandom and now one of the series most infamous opponents is a convert.

On my own personal list of important Who news, I would of course include Barrowman's series two confirm... (I AM NOT OBSESSING!)

"current affairs"?! Either Who is WAY too much on your mind or what you conceive as current is about 90 years behind what most other people conceive as current... Take your pick. :-)

Don't the opinions of the Chairman of the BBC count as current affairs? :-)

I swithered a bit before applying that one, but I thought "why not?". God bless the Queen and the Prince Consort.
