One more for the "does it really need a remake?" file: these six episodes on Sky One. Still, nice to see Christopher Eccleston has got a job.

The only point of The Prisoner is surely that it's visually stunning with it's 60's thing and to remake it would loose that and thus the whole point.

Great, if scary icon. I can't say I see you as a pink fraggle though.

I must disagree!

The worst movie EVER remains eXistenZ!! Completely, totally, absolutely. Period.

My brother and I watched horrible movies and we could not only make them watchable together but GOOD. I would badger him for weeks until he would watch the truly craptastic and he would end up lovin' it. LOVIN' IT! I say. However, eXistenZ is irredeemable. There was nothing we could say to make it funny, it just sucked.

On the other hand we (you and I) made Tim Hines War of the Worlds work. Work in that we were able to poke fun at it for three hours and it didn't feel like three hours - as long as we were busy mocking. In fact it inspired us enough to sit through Jeff Wayne's album version of War of the Worlds, which was another hour and half. Which is all much, much more than I can say about eXistenZ.

I DARE ANYONE to watch eXistenZ and not find it totally horrible.

Note: Your mean for saying that you would delete my comment if I used my David Hasselhoff "Speed of DOOM!" Icon. It's FOR commenting on dreck like eXistenZ. Which deserves to have all copies of it in existence put into a giant pile and have a million cloned speedo wearing (AND NOTHING ELSE!) Hasselhoff's gyrating on the pile until their combined evil makes them spontaneously burst into flames. Period. But noooooo, I have to use my "Judger of all" icon because you can't handle a little in your face, nasty 80s icon beefcake.**thwerp!**

I am glad too that Eccleston has work now. And from what I have seen of his acting (Doctor Who, Cracker, Elizabeth and Let Him Have It - not sure if the last is right) he will do a good job in the role. It really is up to the rest of the people involved not to let him down... (Yeah, I like him. One, he IS a REALLY good actor and two, he was super HAWT in Elizabeth...)

Too bad it will be showing on Sky One, so that's a bit poo.

I wonder if Patrick McGoohan will have anything to do with the design of it. That is I agree with [livejournal.com profile] pinkweasel, what made it so revolutionary was not that whole being trapped on an island for crimes against the state but the camp and kooky surrealism, which was better suited for 60s TV.

Hmm, anyway we'll read. :-)
