A couple of photos from earlier yesterday evening, walking along South Street in St. Andrews around 5 o’clock, just as it was getting dark. They’re not the world’s most technically accomplished photos – this is me, after all – but I like what they show, and hopefully my incompetence doesn’t mess it up too much:

The coin's an early James III unicorn (18 shillings Scots).

I also found a modern unicorn (attached to this comment) in a set of heraldic beast £1 coin patterns released in 2004. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they never made it onto the national coinage.

That is gorgeous! I must photograph the lion and the unicorn on the staircase at Glasgow University: they are 2 of the few survivors of the original university before the campus was relocated from the High Street.

Thank you. I seem to have more success with blues than reds - whenever I've tried to take a sunset they always come out looking murky.
